I was a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to riding bikes. I got my first hardtail when I was 21, and a year later upgraded to a full suspension bike which I proceeded to ride into the ground for the next 5 years. When i was 27 I decided to give DH racing a go, just for the fun of it. I quickly discovered how much fun adding a bit of competition to riding bikes can be! Since then I've travelled with my bike more than I ever thought I would, made countless friends, found new limits of what I can do on a bike, and eaten more PB&J sandwiches than I care to admit. I find DH racing to be an intense and very mental sport that requires a lot of effort, determination, and the ability to take risks and push your limits, but the thrill and satisfaction it gives back are well worth it!
